Fringe Henning Wehn 'Eins, Zwei, DIY'

Proving that Germans really can be funny, 'Ein, Zwei, DIY' promises to be a whole lot of pun.

Venue: The Caves (Venue 88)
Not much would entice me into The Caves, a damp, beer-smelling hole of a venue, and a German Comedian wouldn’t normally be one of them. Henning Wehn, however, could just be the exception. Proving that Germans really can be funny, Wehn is understated but hilarious and his show, ‘Ein, Zwei, DIY’ promise to be a whole lot of pun. If you're still unconvinced check out his appearances on 'Mock the Week' and 'Would I Lie to You'.

"We attended Hennings preview show at the Caves on 31st July. He comes across as a very likeable, affable self- deprecating character, but unfortunately not firing on all cylinders. The show will improve as the run goes on but there were a few uncomfortable pauses here and there. Henning acknowledged that some of his material might be too London-centric, however there were enough funny moments to warrant a decent evening. Nice touch at the end when he shook hands with all the audience." - NJB from Vegas
"Saw Henning last night (4th Aug) and agree with many of previous review. Some very funny bits and overall good entertainment but thought routine quite rusty. The London property bit is too long and not interesting enough for anyone out of London. The Japanese on train and Grand Prix jokes need sharpening. Never had him down as 'edgy' so his references to various people dying of cancer seemed out of context and you could hear the silence when he said it!" - D Foster
